Alianza Announces EasySwitch VoIP End-of-Life Migration Assistance

LINDON, Utah – March 11, 2014 – Alianza Inc., the cloud voice platform company, today announced EasySwitch™, an end-of-life migration assistance program for service providers with cancelled, defunct or obsolete VoIP products and wholesale white label solutions. The program enables a rapid transition to Alianza’s Cloud Voice Platform and features professional services and service credits to ease the financial and logistical challenges of the move to a next-generation VoIP solution.

The transition to VoIP has been underway since the late 1990s and billions of dollars have been spent on equipment and services. A significant amount of legacy VoIP equipment is now entering a second decade of operation and is obsolete, no longer supported or has been cancelled outright. Networks built on this technology from the last decade are rapidly reaching end-of-life, forcing service providers into replacement scenarios for point solutions or their entire network. This results in additional capital expenditures and a disruptive transition path that can wreak havoc on the VoIP business case and funnel resources away from other core strategic initiatives.

Service providers that own application servers and softswitches, or use legacy white label reseller programs, can now rapidly move to a next-generation solution. Alianza’s EasySwitch program aids cable operators, ISPs and telcos in transitioning to a modern, flexible and more cost-effective solution to deliver VoIP services.   • Professional services — a dedicated onboarding team to define and manage the transition process across all phases, including discovery, training, beta testing and full migration.
  • Device certification — waived certification fees for qualifying VoIP CPE and devices used for existing services.

The migration is timed with the porting of the phone numbers with Alianza’s Accelerate Voice™ carrier partners and validated prior to switching live traffic and devices to the platform.
